random facts part 3

r u ready for some random facts and other stuff...well here we go.If a person is caught raking the beaches, picking up litter, hauling away trash, building a bench for the park and many other activities without a permit, he/she may be fined $150 for "maintaining the national forest without a permit." Elephants can't jump. Every other mammal can. the longest recorded flight of a chicken is thirteen seconds. According to the federal Center for Substance Abuse prevention, "For kids under twenty-one, there is no difference between alcohol and other drug use and abuse." Incredibly, it makes no distinction between a self-reliant 20 year old toasting his love at their wedding reception with a sip of champagne and a drug-addicted 20 year old doing crack cocaine! the longest recorded flight of a chicken is thirteen seconds. Howler monkeys are the noisiest land animals. Their calls can be heard over 2 miles away. The 3 most valuable brand names on earth: Marlboro, Coca-Cola, and Budweiser, in that order. Notorious bootlegger Al Capone made $60,000,000 during prohibition. . . that's sixty million dollars . . . per year (untaxed!) while the average industrial worker earned less than $1,000 per year. The largest blue whale caught was a 110-foot female. It is not known how the angler got this beast home or how he (we can assume it's a he, can't we?) fit it in the freezer. Orca's have a tool called echo location, a sonar which allows them to "see" their prey, even it's internal workings! Noise pollution in the water has a significant effect on whales ability to navigate, hunt, locate their pods, and reproduce. The US Navy's low frequency sonar is so deafening it bursts animals on the cellular level, the equivalent of "the bends" or decompression sickness. The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket. The Eisenhower interstate system requires that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies. Everyone has a right to be stupid. Some just abuse the privilege. - James T. Hammond. Asking whether machines can think is like asking whether submarines can swim. Never let a fool kiss you, or a kiss fool you. Never hit a guy with glasses. Always use your fists. A man walks into a bank and says he wants to borrow $200 for six months. The loan officer asks him what kind of collateral he has. The man says "I've got a Rolls Royce -- keep it until the loan is paid off . . . here are the keys." Six months later the man comes into the bank, pays back the $200 loan, plus $10 interest, and regains possession of the Rolls Royce. The loan officer asks him, "Sir, if I may ask, why would a man who drives a Rolls Royce need to borrow two hundred dollars?" The man answers, "I had to go to Europe for six months, and where else could I store a Rolls Royce for that long for ten dollars?" Too many of us are spending money we haven't earned to buy things we don't need
to impress people we don't like. well i think that is enough la8er.

Tryouts and More Random Facts

well i will tell you about the tryouts then the facts. well i just had my baskeball tryouts for rec. i did good..... i think. well enough about that now for the random facts. Iraqi terrorist, Khay Rahnajet, didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with "return to sender" stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits. The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later they were both eaten by a killer whale. A snail can sleep for 3 years. When the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers play football at home to a sellout crowd, the stadium becomes the state's third largest city. A fact about dating: A wise monkey never monkies with another monkey's monkey. The tallest tree on the planet, a giant redwood that soars 370 feet into the California sky, is still growing. All clams start out as males; some decide to become females at some point in their lives. The fastest moving land snail, the common garden snail, has a speed of 0.0313 mph. The turkey was named for what was wrongly thought to be its country of origin. Did you know Lou Gehrig died of Lou Gehrig's disease? What are the odds of that?!?! One lady had her husband's ashes made into an egg timer so that even in death he can still "help" in the kitchen. A cow gives nearly 200,000 glasses of milk in her lifetime.
A chimpanzee can learn to recognize itself in a mirror, but monkeys can't. Coke is used by Cops to clean Blood off the Ground! Hershey's Kisses are called that because the machine that makes them looks like it's kissing the conveyor belt. Clans of long ago that wanted to get rid of their unwanted people without killing them used to burn their houses down - hence the expression "to get fired." A single tree in the rainsforest can be home to thousands of different creatures. The cigarette lighter was invented before the match. Chewing gum while cutting onions will prevent crying. If the population of China walked past you in single file, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction. There are only 12 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet. The poison-arrow frog has enough poison to kill about 2,200 people. The world's smallest mammal is the bumblebee bat of Thailand, weighing less than a penny. When possums are playing 'possum, they are not "playing." They actually pass out from sheer terror. No president of the United States was an only child. Women blink nearly twice as much as men. In 1963, baseball pitcher Gaylord Perry remarked, "They'll put a man on the moon before I hit a home run." On July 20, 1969, a few hours after Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, Gaylord Perry hit his first, and only, home run. There are four cars and eleven light posts on the back of a ten-dollar bill. More than 400,000 Americans die from diseases related to cigarette smoking each year. More than 150,000 Americans die of alcohol abuse each year. A female mackerel lays about 500,000 eggs at one time.

random facts

I am very bored so i am just goin to tell you very weird and random facts(i get my facts from a website).
On average, 100 people choke to death on ball-point pens every year. Will Clark hit a home run in his first at-bat in college, the Olympics, and the Major Leagues. In Maine, it's illegal for a police officer to tell you to have a nice day after giving you a traffic ticket. Reno, Nevada is west of Los Angeles, California. When Heinz ketchup leaves the bottle, it travels at a rate of 25 miles per year. A father Emperor penguin withstands the Antarctic cold for 60 days or more to protect his eggs, which he keeps on his feet, covered with a feathered flap. During this entire time he doesn't eat a thing. Most father penguins lose about 25 pounds while they wait for their babies to hatch. Afterward, they feed the chicks a special liquid from their throats. When the mother penguins return to care for the young, the fathers go to sea to eat and rest. The only two days of the year in which there are no professional sports games (MLB, NBA, NHL, or NFL) are the day before and the day after the Major League All-Star Game. Whales, the worlds largest species, eat krill, creatures 1/1000th of their size. Pick on somebody your own size? Not whales! An adult whale might slaughter 40 million these little creatures in one day!! Amazingly, the krill population survives, but you have to assume these atrocities affect the krills ability to develop any sense of community. Each king in a deck of playing cards represents a great king from history. Spades - King David; Clubs - Alexander the Great; Hearts - Charlemagne; and Diamonds - Julius Caesar. It takes 3,000 cows to supply the NFL with enough leather for a year's supply of footballs. A polar bear's skin is black. Its fur is not white, but actually clear. If you keep a goldfish in the dark room, it will eventually turn white. A 1,200-pound horse eats about seven times it's own weight each year. Chicha, an alcohol beverage which has been made for thousands of years in Central and South America, begins with people chewing grain and spitting into a vat. An enzyme in saliva changes starch in the grain to sugar, which then ferments. An ostrich's eye is bigger than it's brain. Dolphins sleep at night just below the surface of the water. They frequently rise to the surface for air. The fastest bird is the Spine-tailed swift, clocked at speeds of up to 220 miles per hour. The sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." uses every letter in the alphabet.
In 10 minutes, a hurricane releases more energy than all the world's nuclear weapons combined. In its entire lifetime, the average worker bee produces 1/12th teaspoon of honey. Only one person in two billion will live to be 116 or older. The Main Library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year because when it was built, engineers failed to take into account the weight of all the books that would occupy the building. China has more English speakers than the United States. More food is thrown out each day in the United States than is needed to feed its hungry . . . by McDonalds. I hope you have enjoyed my random facts.

The Crusade has begun

If u are a rapid video gamist(such as sebastian and i and teddy) u know that halo 2 is been out for a while (almost a year to be excat) and people are falling falling and falling away from it. why u ask? because bungie doesnt make any new stuff! THAT IS ABOUT TO CHANGE DRAMATICALLY! i have learned that next week there will be new gametypes and a 16 player training guest allowed, oh my that easies the pain. BUT (yes there is a BUT) people will not pay any attention to this because halo 2 has been ignored ever since the new battlefield 2, xbox 360, ps3, nintendo revolution have truly been shown and been abled to play. so we need to play more halo 2 on xbox live not all the time but at least every day. and we also need to tell people about these new gametypes. halo 2 should be brought back and maybe just maybe it will be better on the 360. now i would like people to comment to say if they are going to help me or not. and please help!! P.S. there is going to be a halo movie the executive producer is going to be peter jackson how i know all this? i know a guy who knows a guy who knows...
